V2-Concept of Continuum and Macroscopic Approach
For reference i am using links and book named (Sonntag, R. E., Borgnakke, C., & Wylen, G. J. V. Fundamentals of thermodynamics: Wiley.)
What is thermodynamics explain?
Thermodynamics is the study of the relations between heat, work, temperature, and energy.
In broad terms, thermodynamics deals with the transfer of energy from one place to another and from one form to another.

CONCEPT OF CONTINUUM
When we study thermodynamics we usually focus on studying the behaviour of materials by ignoring its particulate nature.
In order to do that we have introduced the concept of continuum
According to this concept a continuum is an area that can keep being divided and divided infinitely; no individual particles.
It is a simplification that makes it possible to investigate the movement of matter on scales larger than the distances between particles.
For example- When asking questions such as "How warm will it be tomorrow?" we are only interested in the average behaviour of large numbers of atoms, not in their individual motion.
In short,We deal with very large numbers of molecules that interact extremely often during our observation period, so We sense the system as a simple uniformly distributed mass in the volume called a continuum

The approach we used with help of continuum concept is basically MACROSCOPIC APPROACH.
